About Us

The company was founded by Claude Buck Hammond in 1992 to offer consulting services in the field of Continuous Process Improvement. This was based on the concept of Total Quality Management (TQM) as taught by W. Edward Deming (the man that taught the Japanese about quality). In 1989, the same man that taught the Japanese about quality also taught Mr. Hammond.

Mr. Hammond offered TQM Process Engineering services to various companies like Rockwell International and TV Guide until 1998 when TV Guide ask him to enlarge the Process Engineering improvement activity to include computer software development processes.

After that time Hammond & Associates began to use continuous process improvement principles in software development, computer design and manufacturing as well as networking.

From 2001 until the present time, Hammond & Associates has primarily focused their efforts toward the efficient design and use of computers and networks in the workplace.

Due to the drastic increase in computer viruses and spy ware and the 2003 implementation of the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), it became apparent that network security needed to receive the same level of attention previously given to the design of computers and networks.

In 2003, additional Associates with network security design and implementation expertise were added to better serve the Hammond & Associates client base. A profile of each of these Associates is made available with each proposal.

Hammond & Associates was originally founded on the principles that each of our clients must be treated with integrity and honesty and the work done must be excellent and continuously improving.

All Associates connected with Hammond & Associates must also believe these principles and be able to provide the level of quality workmanship necessary to perform in this manner.
